Other Funding From the Union

There are also some pots of Union funding available just to approved student groups, or individuals competing at a regional or higher sporting level.

Activities Development Fund

The Activities Development Fund is available to approved student groups that require help with either the development of existing projects, applicable training courses or in establishing a new project.

Following the pilot of the funds in 2012-13, the Students’ Union has secured continued budget to provide approved clubs and societies with the opportunity to develop their activities beyond what is budgeted for at the start of year.

Following the guidelines that worked in the pilot, initially applications for projects costing up to £500 can be considered, with a request that up to 50% be supported by union sponsorship. The remaining 50% should be funded by the participants, activity group or other sponsor. However this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and other funding models may be used.

The group will need to complete an application form outlining the nature of the project, course or activity and its benefit to students/your group. Application forms are available below.  Once completed, please send to activities@gre.ac.uk and copy in vpactivites@gre.ac.uk

Activities Representation Fund

The Activities Representation Fund is available to approved student groups and current students that require help with costs relating to them taking part in competitions to represent the University of Greenwich at a regional or higher level.

Following the pilot of the funds in 2012-13, the Students’ Union has secured continued budget to provide ratified clubs and societies with the opportunity to develop their activities beyond what is budgeted for at the start of year.

Following the guidelines that worked in the pilot, initially applications will be considered with the aim of the Union covering entry fees and providing up to 50% of the related costs for competing. The remaining 50% should be funded by the participants, activity group or other sponsor. However this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and other funding models may be used.

The individual will need to complete an application form giving details of the competition, individuals or teams taking part, and the costs involved. The application form is available below.
