Recognition & Awards
Here at the Union we understand that getting involved in the Union, especially through student groups, is a great way of having fun, making friends, and also developing your skills to make you more employable!
Because of this, we offer a variety of awards and recognition, for both individuals and student groups.
We know that being involved in the Union and extracurricular activities is great for your development during your time as a student - through these awards and recognition we want everyone else to realise this too!
There are a variety of ways that we recognise the valuable contributions of students, such as GSCV Awards, Volunteering Prize Draws, submitting information to Higher Education Achievement Records, Union Recognition Awards, sporting Colours & Blues, Society Service Awards, and supporting you to gain Employability Passport Points.

For Your Group
Tiered Recognition Scheme
This has been introduced as a pilot scheme for 2014-15, designed to help groups develop and get recognition for the awesome things you do!
The scheme has three levels - Bronze, Silver, and Gold - and we're in the process of developing special 'Platinum Stripes' to showcase exceptional events, projects, activities and development shown by groups.
